One of the Trending Phone of 2015: Xiaomi Redmi Note 3

Day by day Xiaomi is increasing its voguing in the world by inaugurating dignified handsets. Xiaomi is coming back with the last handset of the year 2015, and that is Xiaomi Redmi 3. Xiaomi Redmi 3 was announced in November 2015. Pre-orders for this handset are began in the US (United States) and there are not any shipping charges.

The Xiaomi Redmi 3’s refined design is quite attractive. There isn’t anything special in the design but then too it look so pretty. 150 x 76 x 8.7 mm dimensional device weights 164 grams. Talking about the designing portion, you will get power button on just right side of the device which is placed just below the volume key. At the front panel, there is one selfie camera with front speaker. On the back panel, there is rear camera with flash light, speakers, and one fingerprint sensor. The device is made by the metal material, so that you don’t need to worry about phone break or damage.

Personally i like the place of fingerprint sensor where it is placed just because you will be very comfortable while unlocking the handset with this position of fingerprint sensor. You do not need to give any extra efforts for that. But there is also one minus point which is also its position. For suppose your device is placed on the table and without having it in your hand you want to unlock it, then that would not become possible as your fingerprint sensor is on the back side.

CEO of Xiaomi electronics, Lei Jun said that,”A design priority was the smartphone’s metal case, which does give the phone a smooth, premium touch.”

Let’s talk about the display of the handset, the phone offers 5.5 inch IPS LCD capacitive touch screen display. This display comes with the resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels with 403 PPI per inch. Personally, i love the display because it is very sharp and attractive. 5.5 inch can be considered as bigger display, so you need to worry as might it would not easily sit in your pocket or it will demand whole pocket of its own.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is powered by octa-core Helio X10 MediaTek processor. The handset is available in two variants: either 16 GB with internal storage with 2 GB of RAM or 32 GB internal memory with 3 GB of RAM. There is not feature of memory expand as the handset doesn’t supports microSD card slot. The device also supports PowerVR G6200 GPU (Graphical Processing Unit).

As far as the snappers are concerned, In Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 you can click pictures by 13-megapixel primary camera with dual tone LED flash on the rear panel and a 5-megapixel front shooter for selfies. The rear camera features Geo-tagging, touch focus, face/smile detection, HDR, panorama, and phase detection autofocus.

  • Geo-tagging means to add graphical identification such as message, or QR codes.
  • Touch focus means to highlight particular area where you want to focus.
  • Panorama feature enables users to capture pictures in a sequence.
  • Face detection feature recognizes face from the camera display.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 runs on Android 5.1 lollipop operating system and is powered by a 4000 mAh non removable battery. It measures 150.00 x 76.00 x 8.65 (height x width x thickness) and weighs 164.00 grams. As far as my opinion is concerned 164 grams can not be said as greater, it comes under light weighted smartphones.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is a dual SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts two only Micro-SIM. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi (Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac), GPS (with A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS), Bluetooth v4.1, 3G, 4G, FM Radio, and microUSB v2.0. Sensors on the phone include Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer, Fingerprint sensor, compass sensor and Gyroscope.

  • Proximity sensor detects nearby objects without having any physical contact.
  • Ambient light sensor adjusts brightness of the device automatically.
  • To measure acceleration in one, two, or three orthogonal axes Accelerometer sensors are used.
  • Gyroscope sensor angular rotational velocity.
  • Fingerprint sensor unlocks the handset by tapping it.
  • Compass sensor are used to determine orientation pretty accurately.

The device includes messaging services such as SMS(threaded view), MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service), Email, Push Mail, and IM. The handset works on Android version 5.1 lollipop operating system. It also offers battery of non-removable 4000 mAh. The handset offers huge battery with quick charging feature. The battery supports 265 hours of talk time in 3G. For browsing the handset supports HTML5 rather java.

The device also supports features such as Document viewer, Photo/video editor, Active noise cancellation with dedicated mic, XviD/MP4/H.265 player, and MP3/WAV/eAAC+/Flac player. The handset is available in in Champagne Gold, Dark Gray and silver colors.
