13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi is upcoming 2016 American action thriller movie and is based on true story which shows what happened in 2012 when an American Ambassador was killed during an U.S compound attack in Libya. 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi is directed by Michael Bay, written by Chuck Hogan aand is starred by James Badge Dale, John Krasinski, Max Martini, Toby Stephens, Pablo Schreiber, David Denman, Dominic Fumusa, Demetrius Grosse and Freddie Stroma. It is scheduled to be released on January 15, 2016.
Erwin Stoff, a producer of the film said that, “While the events have been the subject of continuous heated debate, few have heard or seen the story told from the perspective of these brave men because it has been largely lost amidst the political back and forth.”
On 11 September, 2012, it was the evening time when heavily armed Islamic militants attacked the American diplomatic compound in Benghazi, Libya. Libya is a country in the Maghreb region of North Africa. They killed U.S. Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens and U.S. Foreign Service Information Management Officer Sean Smith. Officer Sean Smith had took refuge in the main building with the strong doors and metal bars but militants set fire to the building then Stevens was taken to Benghazi Medical Center. A U.S. rescue team came in Benghazi and rescued around 40 Americans from the compound.
13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi is made in total $50 million production cost. Poster of the movie shows tag line of the movie,
‘When Everything Went Wrong Six Men Had The Courage To Do What Was Right.’
It is the story about thirteen hours of that now-infamous attack and six men of a security team who fought to defend the Americans stationed there. All those six men went beyond the call of duty and performs extraordinary acts of courage and heroism, to avert tragedy on a much larger scale.
After the trailer launch the movie receive many criticism from bloggers, facebook users and from social media. Shooting of the movie is done in Malta, Mosta and Morocco. Music is given by Lorne Balfe. David Brock said that, “Republicans have already made clear they will use this movie to revive theories discredited by their own party’s investigators to continue their admittedly partisan attacks against Hillary Clinton.”
“The movie shows the US contractors who actually failed to secure the ambassador … as heroes. Bay turned America’s failure to protect its own citizens in a fragile state into a typical action movie all about American heroism.”
Tiegen said that, “Hopefully, the biggest thing that people go and get out of the movie is honor the four guys who sacrificed their life serving their country and take the politics out of it and really know what happened that night on the ground.” Geist said that, “We all wanted to see the same thing. We all wanted to get the truth out there and have it be as a political as any story could be. We were involved in every aspect of it, to a certain degree or another. The stories they were telling about how that happened just weren’t true, it wasn’t what happened that night on the ground. We just felt compelled to put it in writing — what really happened from our perspective.”
13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi would be considered as great starting of 2016 of Hollywood industry. I am very excited to see this movie.
